The Svensson Lab is grateful for your support, which allows us to pursue our mission of understanding how the body communicates about metabolism and how disease impacts its ability to do so. Your philanthropic investment, at any level, will have a meaningful impact.

Discretionary expendable gifts to the lab’s general fund allow us to direct funding to the lab’s top research priorities. Your gift will fuel promising research shaping the future of the field by accelerating or expanding any of the multiple research efforts currently underway or by helping to launch a novel line of inquiry.

Below are instructions for how you can donate to the Svensson Lab in different ways.

Make a gift to the Svensson Lab

  • In the second drop-down box under “Direct Your Gift”, select “Other Stanford Designation”.

  • In the box labeled “Other”, please write: “Svensson Lab-School of Medicine”

  • Then follow the prompts.

Online via Benevity

*This option is only available for individuals whose employers use Benevity to help employees make donations to nonprofits they care about. Some companies also choose to support their employees by matching their donations to the same organizations.

  1. Search for “Stanford University” once you are logged into your account on the Benevity website.

  2. In the comment field, write: “The Svensson Lab – School of Medicine”

  3. Please provide the requested information and proceed to make the credit card payment.

  4. If possible, please send an email to marybomar@stanford.edu with the date of your donation and Benevity transaction number.

Corporate Matching Gifts

  1. Search for your employer on the Stanford matching gifts search tool.

  2. After you make a donation and receive your receipt from Stanford, request a matching gift form from your employer if your company is eligible. Send the completed and signed form with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to the Svensson Lab may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
